Used 2019 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearHanover, PA

How much does the 2019 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 3.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,546 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Toyota Tundra earns a 4.64/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, solid performance, and roomy, comfortable cabin. The feedback also points to strong towing capability and a ride that feels more luxurious than you might expect from a work-focused truck.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels outdated, and fuel economy is a common complaint. The truck’s old-school approach is a fit if you want a proven, straightforward pickup rather than a tech-heavy one.

With 35.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly describes the Tundra as reliable, solid, and dependable, with owners saying it feels like a truck you can count on over the long haul. The expert review also emphasizes its durable, predictable V8 powertrains and the kind of rugged dependability that has long defined the model.

That said, the truck’s age shows in its technology and refinement, so long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical trustworthiness and more about living with an older design.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Toyota Tundra?

At 61.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, frame condition, and signs of prior repair. Because the truck’s age and rugged use profile can hide wear, it’s smart to focus on overall condition rather than mileage alone.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR already includes heated mirrors, a windshield wiper de-icer, a damped tailgate, an integrated trailer-brake controller, and a safety suite with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and auto high beams. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience, while the TRD Pro brings a revised suspension, off-road tires, forged BBS wheels, Fox shocks, a skid plate, and unique styling.
• Powertrain: You get a 4.6-liter V8 with 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque, or a larger 5.7-liter V8 with 71 more horsepower and 74 more pound-feet of torque. The smaller engine is stout and predictable, while the larger one brings stronger towing and payload capability.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense-style equipment includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and a drowsiness monitor. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is not standard on the base SR or the TRD Pro.
• Infotainment: The base truck uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and a 6-speaker stereo with a CD player. Higher trims move to a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and traffic info, while Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4.6-liter V8 with rear-wheel drive is rated at 15 mpg city, 19 highway, and 16 combined, while the rear-wheel-drive 5.7-liter V8 can deliver up to 13/18/15.

Which 2019 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2019 Toyota Tundra is offered in 6 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you a surprisingly long list of standard equipment, including the core safety suite and a 6.1-inch touchscreen. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the nicer cabin upgrades.
• SR5: This trim adds a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and traffic info, plus foglights and variable-intermittent wipers. It’s the best-value choice if you want a more usable daily driver without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• Limited: This is the comfort step-up, with leather front bucket seats, power adjustments, dual-zone automatic climate control, navigation, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. It suits you if you want a more upscale cabin and plan to spend lots of time behind the wheel.
• Platinum: This trim leans into luxury with a sunroof, heated and cooled front seats with driver memory, an upgraded JBL stereo, and LED daytime running lights. It’s for buyers who want the most premium feel in the lineup.
• 1794 Edition: Equipment is similar to Platinum, but the styling is more distinctive and Western-themed. Choose it if you want the luxury content with a more unique look.
• TRD Pro: This is the enthusiast pick, with a raised suspension, off-road tires, Fox shocks, skid plate, and TRD-specific visual touches. It’s the trim to buy if you want the most capability and personality, especially for off-road use.

Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is unavailable on the base SR and the TRD Pro.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota Tundra?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,546 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.52% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,171, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $33,539 sits slightly below last year's $34,762.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more affordably now. For a future seller, that also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, trim, and mileage than it would be in a hotter market.

Well-kept examples should still draw interest because the Tundra’s reputation for durability and owner satisfaction remains a selling point. If you maintain it carefully and avoid accident history, you’ll be in a stronger position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2019 Toyota Tundra earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and three-star ratings in rollover from NHTSA, and five-star ratings in side crash tests. It also earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota makes a strong case for standard driver assistance here, with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and a drowsiness monitor included. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is not standard on the base SR or the TRD Pro.

The safety ratings also show the truck’s age. IIHS testing includes Marginal results for the headlights and driver-side small overlap front test, plus a Poor result in the passenger-side small overlap front test.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 brings back the TRD Pro with revised suspension and new BBS wheels.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $36,822, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $33,539 average.
• It should prove utterly bulletproof in terms of reliability.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2019 is the smarter path because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If your priority is long-term reliability above all else and you’re willing to pay more, the 2020 is the safer alternative.
