I do love my Traverse, but there are a few weird things I have noticed since owning it like there is no interior button for the liftgate release nor is there one on the remote. Its odd how they would make a model that has a manual liftgate.Apr 19, 2023

I like the style, handlilng, room, towing capacity, controls, options and reliability.
The ability to seat 7 comfortably is awesome, especially when toting around my kids and their friends.
I dislike the gas mileage when towing (14mpg with 3500lbs), no navigation system or dvd, cost to replace alternator ($1200, which I replaced).May 24, 2015

Great vehicle for family of 4 or more, especially if have kids in sports and need to haul friends & team mates, equipment, etc.... Love the look and feel of the Traverse. AWD handles great in bad weather conditions. Great for Family Vacations, comfortable traveling long hours. Ability to carry everything you need to take with you.Nov 18, 2014

we researched all suv's with third row seating. the traverse was the roomiest and most affordable. if you want affordability go with the basic model. if you have to have all the bells and whistles you will pay for it. we opted for the basic model with only a couple options added, super happy with decision. I loved the safety features also, knowing it would protect my family in a wreck. Aug 06, 2013

It's just an all around great SUV for a family especially if you travel, go camping, etc. Very spacious inside!
It is also loaded with good options, and after the fact packages.

Large enough to haul a ton of people and gear but small enough to manuver for everyday use. Sporty suspension and handeling but a little softer suspension for city roads would be nice, but I have driven many similar cars and they all seem to focus on handling first.Feb 12, 2012

Overall this car will be great for those that don't want to downsize to the smaller SUV's and really prefer the look and feel of the SUV to the crossover. Although categorized as a crossover, it has the rugged look of the SUV and the cargo room. The ride is smooth and so is the handling. The big advantage is not having to have running boards to get in and out. Although some think they are stylish and you can add them if you want, For people like me with back problems, I am always twisting or trying to step over them. So I get the headroom I want without the running board difficulty. The controls are the latest technology and are logically placed with blu tooth, On STar and Satellite Radio, lots of power options for your seat, of course windows, cruise, outdoor temp and a compass, 2 trips and digital readouts.
