Sure, its expensive and might not have the up-to-the-minute tech and gimmicks, but if you want the best SUV built and plan to keep it 15+ years, you absolutely cannot go wrong. People trash the fuel economy, but its no different than any other full size vehicles Toyota offers. Its a old school v8, I dont expect 25mpg. Overall, awesome vehicle that with basic maintenance can last generations. There are cheaper options for similar sized vehicles, but you will buy burn out 3 of those before the Landcruiser is tired.Oct 10, 2020

The Performance of The Landcruiser GXR is actually much better off road than on road. I kind of feel its got lesser acceleration from 0-100kmph....Off Roading is its real feature due to the amazing Torque. The Build Quality is extremely good....Its very Strong and Reliable. It looks very Mighty and Muscular....Just as how all Landcruiser looked. The cost is decent....but its not favourable in terms of mileage. Its Maintenance costs are not very high. Its one of the Best off roaders.....actually the most reliable one. Its real fun.Oct 26, 2011

First off this car is not cheap. However, if you are looking for an upmarket SUV that can handle 3 or more kids and all the gear that goes with that, then this is the car for you. First off the interior of this car is amazing. Wonderful leather seats, great instrumentation and the third row seat is large enough for 2 adults to sit comfortably. We have 3 kids and are often doing car pool so it is great to be able to get 2 adults AND 5 kids in the car. In terms of storage, we often go skiing and even with all our ski gear and 3 kids there is tons of extra room. The handling of the car is amazing. On a long road trip, the handling and seating make it very comfortable. Have driven 4+ hour trips and been very comfortable. Where this car really shines is in terms of the bad weather. We have driven this car up very steep mountain passes in 6+ inches of snow and had NO problems at all. This car is a tank in the snow and ice. The 4 wheel drive system is superb. In terms of maintenance, we have owned one of these cars before and that car lasted more than 120k miles with very little if any maintenance needed. These cars are really well built. Now for the downside, the car is expensive and the gas mileage is not great. Overall, this is a very nice car, surely expensive but a superb car for car-pooling kids and long family trips. Well you can always get the lexus RX450, but in that note it is a waste of money, all it has is kick as sound the sound, the land Cruiser 200 series is the same price has also got nice sound it is the best off road car you can get, yes it does it 220 230 km/h so what do u want more and it gives you a comfortabel ride and doesnt even feel like a big carAug 18, 2009

I had the luxury of doing a PDI on one of these. Has the same 5.7L V8 as the Tundra and Sequoia, but with a lot more bells and whistles. If you have $75k laying around that you don't know what to do with, go buy one of these! You will not be disappointed! Navigation, backup camera, sonar parking aid, rear seat entertainment system w/DVD (Will display on front screen if parked), bluetooth cell phone integration, etc. Weird part is the amount of off-road technology, from the "crawl" mode that automatcially maintains speed of 1, 2, or 3 MPH over rough terrain, to the passive hydraulic suspension that maintains all four wheels in contact with the ground, this is the ultimate off-road machine in stock form, but I'm not sure I'd go spend $75k on one and then take it hunting.
