It resembled a smaller version of the Grand Cherokee, with our High Altitude test vehicle featuring attractive 19-inch multi-spoke wheels that matched its upscale paint job. Inside, the Compass High Altitude impressed with a new dashboard design, updated digital instrumentation, and luxury-grade leather seats, enhancing its premium SUV appeal. The lineup began with the base Sport trim and ascended through Latitude, Latitude Lux, Limited, Trailhawk, and High Altitude models, with prices ranging from $26,020 to $35,085, excluding a $1,595 destination charge. Our test vehicle, equipped with standard AWD and various option packages, had an MSRP of $40,470.
The 2022 Kia Telluride attracted consumers with its muscular design and balanced proportions, maintaining its handsome midsize SUV status with only minor grille pattern changes and new badges for 2022. Available in LX, S, EX, and SX trims, pricing ranged from $32,790 to $44,590, plus a $1,225 destination charge. Our Telluride SX test vehicle, featuring AWD and the SX Prestige Package, totaled $48,325. The interior boasted a logical control layout, though the glossy plastic in the lower cabin detracted from its otherwise upscale appearance. The SX Prestige trim offered Nappa leather upholstery and a simulated suede headliner, contrasting with the shiny plastic panels.
