Do you vet the dealerships that advertise on your site?

We purchased a Audi Q5 from Land Rover Jaquar Schaumburg, IL on 12/05/2020, submitted requested credit card info received text that the car was ours and would be taken offline.  We then purchased Weather Tek mats for our new car and then received a call saying that people had come into the dealership in person and that they now had "first right of refusal"?? If that is the case they should not be selling their cars online and Car Gurus should remove their ads from their site.  This makes us extremely apprehensive about using the site or any other one to purchase a car online.

Unless you have a written and signed contract with the dealer you don't have any rights.
