Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i was driving today and my tranny was messing up in drive. so i had to drive it
in 2nd gear to make it home. then 2 hours later i was test driving with someone
and it started driving normal. i dont get it.will i need to get a new tranny.
also does anybody knows where the tag id for the tranny is at?

so far that was a fluke. check back in about 2 weeks. the id tag is usaully somewhere with the pan. if not then look for the build sheet.it tells you everything that was equipped withj your suv, or look at the pan and crosscheck it with your local parts store.
