Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2007 Crossfire wipers start moving as soon as I turn on the ignition switch
and stop in the middle of the windshield. When I turn on the wiper switch the
wipers move but don't stop in the proper park position down. Replaced the
multifunction switch and the BCM and still get the same symptom. It sounds
like a relay is turning on as soon as I turn on the ignition switch. Check the
voltage from the multifunction switch with the switch off and there is no
power there but when I check the power to the motor there is voltage going
to the motor to make it move. It runs for a few and then turn off, I also hear
the same relay click off. Anyone have any idea what the problem is. Is there
another relay outside the BCM that could be powering up when the ignition
switch is turned on?

If you pull one or both of those fuses, it should kill the wipers. Did the bcm need to be programmed?

Thanks for your response. I did pull the 10amp fuse which provide 12 volts to the mulitifunction switch and the wipers still came on when I turn on the ignition switch. So I reinstalled the fuse and pulled the 30 amp fuse that is powered when the ignition switch is turned on and it feeds the BCM. Turned on the ignition switch and the motor did not start moving even when I turned on the wiper motor switch. So I wonder where that power goes too and what does it feed? The motor has a 12 volt supply that is seen when the motor is in park. I wonder if that is the same voltage that is supplied from the ignition switch? but one thing for sure your direction to pull the fuses was a great idea. Thanks but I'm not out of the woods yet. I still don't know why that voltage is making the motor come on as soon as I turn on the ignition switch. I going to check the motor to make sure it's stops at the correct place when it parks and I'm going to check the wiring to the motor.
