crossfire roof will not fully go down as the side flaps of the roof deck are not coming up automatically.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Any ideas whether this is a sensor issue - It worked yesterday but today when I was demonstrating it for sale it didnt work. As these side flaps do not come up automatically they jam the roof preventing it latching down.
I can manually pull them up and complete the cycle and when closing the roof again they go down automatically as they should but they just do not come up.

Regards

David

I investigated further this evening and the side flaps on the roof cover/deck are operated by 2 cable both of which have siezed at the same time....whats the chances of that happening. I had stripped them, and sprayed WD40 down each cable and free'd them up slightly but the side flaps only come up half way and I need new cables. Any ideas where I get these from? The buyer is coming to collect the car this Friday evening and I would like to get it working properly.

I have the same problem with my 2006. The dealer says the cables are seized, but they are unavailable anywhere. We're you able to find them?
