which fuse on fuse chart diagram to check for on a 2000 vw beetle that locks car in park?
Maybe its a fuse but which fuse? also how to disengage the safety feature on my beetle
that locks it in park?
I know that this is one of many irritating things in today's vehicles, but you cannot just remove a fuse to disable it, there are a number of systems that turn it on and off that are involved. I would not attempt to do this, just learn to live with it. Hopefully this protectionism faze will loose it's appeal and we can go back to enjoying our cars.
unfortunatly the thing that locks your car in park is your brake pedle so the only way to disable it is to disasemble your entire shifter unit and i would not advise that. this saftey feature is there for a reason do not remove it under any pretense.
