hi i have a slight vibratiion on my mark 4 golf turbo 1.8 gti it has only started recently and
it doesn,t seem to get any worse under power i have been told it could be the clutch or
flywheel but havent felt any slipping there are no strange noises and the whole car feels a
little loose but that could be the weather the ecu has no errors could you help please
have the wheels balanced...a laser alignment might help too~
thanks for your help i,ll give it a try
Examine the CV boots for crackin' and spitting and loosing the poisonous grease that's in there~
thanks i did have it checked when i first noticed it and the machanic said he had tightened the cv bood if it,s come loose and lost some grease then be re tightened could that be thing
the axles are about $75 ea for the rebuilt ones...have boots, grease and clampin' seal all together for that price...bit of labor to do the job...and some know how in seating the C-clip~ but really there's nothing a person can do to help them other than replace the whole axle w/cv joints and boots already installed on that~
okay 111.....75 was a 1993 price...(when my mechanic experience was from)~
