What does the warning ECP mean along with "Do not exceed 4,000 RPM"
I'm impressed with the specs on your vehicle, 258 foot pounds of torque at 1,500 rpms and 211 horsepower at 4,300 rpms. So, why do you need to rev up much past 4,000? That's not how your car is. You should be very happy that it develops all that power so early and it goes 0-60 in 7 seconds. What's really wrong here?. If I were you, I'd enjoy your car and keep it under 4,000 rpms. Besides, it's an automatic? Correct? Are you saying that when you step on it, it goes past 4,000 rpms easily and the light comes on with this message. When did you last get your car serviced?
Probably an oil pressure switch. We had an A6 do this. 4,000 rpm is not even close to redline. That is "getting on the highway" power. Bring it in to a dealership.
