We choose to take the offer from @cargurus but wasn’t happy with the process and false advertising that informed us it would be a 48 hour process. No that’s just for them to approve thier first offer an go over the 100 photos they ask of you take of the car. In total it really took about 3 weeks to complete from iniation to pick up. After they confirm, you then had to wait for an inspector to reach out and schedule a time he can test drive it take pictures and examine the car. This took about 5 days before he reached out to me the night before to let me know that he would be there sometime the next day but was unsure of when…. How professional…Then when he did show up the inspector then claimed issues that didn’t exist. Saying there was stuff wrong with the airbag and car that was missing trim pieces that literally are in his pictures on the report. He even claimed there was something leaking from the CV axel when it was MUD… Then because of this inaccurate report @cargurusculture came back with a lower offer from their horrible manager Nathan. Who refused to get another inspection done because it would cost them more money. Even though they are the ones using shitty inspectors to begin with.Not only this but I was also told to leave the aftermarket stuff such as the wiring and bumpers. But then they used that as a way to lower their offer saying they would have to remove the wiring themselves and that costs. So be warned everyone. He came back acting like he was as doing me a favor by adding $100 to the new offer which was 1200 less than the original. I accepted because people like that are typically assholes. However I did what I did to get an offer I felt worth accepting to help me make the moves I want to make. I am not happy with the Car Guru sales process but it is off my hands and I am on to the next adventure.

This is an honest as it happened review:

The initial request and offer process was great. Until this third party "caroffer" came into the picture. The last portion of the process on Cargurus I got an actual pickup date from them. So I stayed home from work that day and prepped for the acquisition of the vehicle. Well nobody showed up. I even went as far as to call and confirm this appointment was happening and was told absolutely. I then messaged Cargurus and asked what the deal was. Now they are telling me "oh there is nobody scheduled today to pick up your vehicle but let me connect you with caroffer to get an answer". So i talk to them and they tell me they don't have all the info they need yet for some reason. So a week and a half then goes by with hearing nothing from anyone. I almost cut the deal at this point and kept the car. I literally get a call at 10am the morning of when they are picking the cart up. Literally two hours before hand. Then two teenage kids show up in a nice cadilac. I ask them for credentials to prove they're not there to steal the car. They have nothing. They don't even know what paperwork i'm suppose to sign. They just know to drive off with the car. This was shadiest experiene I have ever been experienced to and I how you guys get this worked out or you're going to loose a lot of business this way. I personally will just sell my next car on my own and will never tell people to use this service again with all the headaches it was.

I sent in the photos, the video and I got a pay out amount. They sent their mechanic who did the same. He said they were no issues but then cargurus dropped my pay out by $1500 and said “codes” showed up on mechanics eval. Spoke to mechanic no code submitted!!
They take your loan information, see how much is owed and then screw you

Poor service , slow response and mechanic indicated oil leak and no oil on driveway or level not low. Reduced offer by $1200 Process took nearly three weeks. Pickup guy talked for almost 45 minutes about family , politics and military affairs instead concluding transaction. Would never recommend your firm to anyone. Mechanic left mirror and inside overhead lights on and it was not detected to next day.

My experience with the offer communication/ Pick up communication and day of pick up was terrible

They backed out of the deal after I signed the tittle. Because they ran the car until it stopped after me listing it as skipping / missing. I even called the rep. and made sure they were aware of its condition. It was also noted that it had stalled during the test drive. they still sent drivers to drive the car instead of a truck. How dumb can you be????

Terrible service not recommend anyone else never go back

They missed two scheduled pick up appointments. I’ll never use CarGurus/CarOffer again.

I'll never deal with them again. Time wasters. Kept postponing pick up until original offer expired. New offer was over $1000 less.
