At first all was well, until the time came for the 3rd party person to come and inspect the car and then take it away. The person called 15min after they were scheduled to be here to let me know they were late and were in the process of finding a ride here. After 1hr of waiting the person showed up. The person that came had a difficult time with the process and then seriously struggled to drive the manual transmission car away.

Never worked so hard to sell a car

It took 3 attempts to get the car picked up. In spite of providing the correct address three different times, one time the driver never showed and two times they went to the wrong address, hours after they were supposed to be there anyway. The sale process was fine, but getting the car picked up was a nightmare

Pickup did not occur at the scheduled day/time. No call stating that they would not be there. Multiple calls throughout the day ending in frustration. Representatives unable to call pickup service or identify who was scheduled to pickup. Promises for call backs did not occur.

Real Simple, MVA had to re-titled the car they made a mistake on mileage. My passed last fall, so I had to do this. Anyways, I got it fixed, had the new title from MVA showed them, but car fax didn’t upload it from the MVA yet. So, no deal.

The initial offer and paperwork went smoothly. We received confirmation of the car pick up but no one showed. I tried to call to confirm and talked to several people in several different areas and no one had an answer. Two hours later I got a call from somebody to reschedule for the next day. Was supposed to meet at 9:30 AM. no one showed or called almost 1 1/2 hrs later. I called and we finally just brought the car to her. Seems like it was the first time she did this.

First, it started with trying to reach someone about the address being incorrect on some of the documents. Using the chat feature I was transferred twice only to be ignored. Tried to call and got lost in the menu’s and was never able to actually resolve the issue. Tried the chat feature again the next day and literally that same thing happened. Transferred twice than was told to wait a moment and almost two hours go by with no response. Secondly, I had to drive 30+ minutes away to pick up the person who was supposed to pick up my car. He couldn’t get a ride and wanted me to come and get him or reschedule. So I had to pick him because I feared rescheduling would be a pain considering how every other aspect of this sale had gone. Only positive was I did receive the best offer out of 5 different offers.

The online part was easy. Gave me an average offer. But the company car guru gets to schedule your pick up isn’t the best. They couldn’t accommodate my scheduled pick up time and I had to keep my car an extra week to accommodate them. Disappointed.

Sold a car with CarGurus. They gave me the best price by $200 over 3 other car buying sites. I set up delivery for a Wednesday. I then got 2 text messages confirming the delivery at different times. The day that it was supposed to get picked up I took the afternoon off from work. No one showed, no one called. I called CarGurus and explained what happened to the first person who answered. That person couldn't even find my information in there system so she tried to transfer me to the transport (?) department. After holding for about 5 minutes I got another person who then made another appointment for the following Monday morning. I got 2 text messages with differing pick up times again. I got a call the morning of pickup from a flatbed operator saying he was on his way, eta about 1 1/2 hours. About 15 minutes later I got a call from a driver saying she was on her way via Uber, eta 20 minutes. I told her about the other driver enroute and she insisted that she was the one who was supposed to pick up my car. I called back the first driver and told him that they might want to get in touch with CarGurus as 2 people were coming to pick up my vehicle and he was coming from quite a distance. The second driver showed about 45 minutes later. The owner of the company of the first driver called me and said thet they verified with CarGurus that they were the ones to pick up the car. I informed her that the second driver had already come and the vehicle was gone.
