No changes to the 1994 Audi S4, as it was the last year for this car, at least under the S4 name. This is because it was also the last year for the Audi 100, on whose platform the S4 was based. When the 100 got a name change to the A6 in 1995, the S4 also upgraded its stature by becoming the S6.
The performance-tuned 1994 S4 was a four-door mid-sized sedan built for power and comfort. It got its juice from a 2.2-liter, 20-valve I5 turbo engine that hit 227-hp and boasted 0-60 in six seconds. It was only available with a 5-speed manual transmission, but the powertrain was easily modifiable, one aspect that owners like about the S4. With the quattro all-wheel drive and standard ABS brakes, it was an all-season tank, able to cut through snow, ice, and rain with confidence. Despite the high level of engineering, Audi didn't forget about the little things that make us happy while we're driving, such as leather upholstery, heated seats (front and rear), power adjustable mirrors and seats, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, intermittent wipers, security system, and power sunroof. A large trunk made it convenient for family use on long trips or for stowing golf clubs.
Owners say that if you keep the 1994 S4 properly serviced, it will run forever and look brand new. The I5 engine never gives up. Because of this, used S4s have a good purchase value, because you get a strong engine and all the standard features listed above.
