Why it stands out
The 2018 Toyota Tundra stands out in the full-size truck segment due to its impressive reliability and solid overall performance. It competes directly with American giants like the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 while bringing its own distinct advantages. The Tundra is praised for its spacious interior, particularly in higher trim levels such as the 1794 Edition, making it comfortable for both daily commutes and long trips. However, some users note that its fuel economy can be less desirable, and its technology features may feel outdated compared to competitors. Nonetheless, the Tundra's strong resale value and reputation for durability make it a favorable option for buyers looking for a reliable truck that can withstand the test of time.

Toyota Tundra is what expected of from a towing capacity of a powered V8 / 5.7L 4 × 4 vehicle. Lots of leg room.

Toyotas are generally bullet proof. This is my fourth and it has basically solidified a brand-loyalty when car shopping. The Tundra is a terrific truck. Almost everything an F150, Sierra or Ram can do, the Tundra does better. It definitely rides better than any truck out there. It tows just like the others, hauls just like the others and looks better than the others. It is a rather thirsty truck however. I get 15-17 city/highway like clockwork. Not great mileage but let me qualify that by saying that those numbers are consistent no matter how Im driving. The Tundra is easily modified should you choose to do so. Ive put a cold air intake and stainless, aftermarket exhaust on mine and it has definitely improved already good performance. Those mods were easily done at home too. I say get a Tundra before the new breed of six cylinder supplants the V8 and hang on to it!
