Used 2015 Subaru Impreza for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2015 Subaru Impreza cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 709 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2015 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Generally — you’re looking at a 4/5 user-rated car with an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

The 2015 Impreza is aimed at you if you want a practical compact commuter with all-wheel-drive capability, a quieter cabin, and better interior amenities than earlier versions. It still has a small engine and a less-than-thrilling transmission, so it’s more about everyday usefulness than excitement.

31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2015 Impreza’s reliability story is tied to its practical design and Subaru’s focus on all-wheel-drive capability, plus the flat-4 layout that helps keep the center of gravity low. Its expert coverage also points to a durable, commuter-friendly character rather than a high-strung setup, which is usually a good sign for long-term ownership.

The standard 4-cylinder and CVT-focused setup should be evaluated for smoothness and maintenance history, since used buyers will want to make sure the drivetrain has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Subaru Impreza?

At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or shows uneven panel gaps. Focus on overall condition, cabin wear, and how the drivetrain feels in normal driving, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on everyday usability.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes sedan and Sport hatchback versions, with Premium packages adding bigger 17-inch wheels and rocker panels, while Limited trims bring the larger 7-inch touchscreen. The base setup is simpler, so you should check whether the features you want are missing there.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 2.0-liter flat 4-cylinder engine with 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. The CVT is tuned for mileage, while the 5-speed manual is limited to the base and Sport Premium models.
• Safety package: Subaru’s EyeSight system is standard on the 2.0i Premium trim and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and pre-collision braking. The rest of the lineup gets 4-wheel antilock disc brakes plus stability and traction control.
• Infotainment: A 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard, while Limited trims get a 7-inch touchscreen. The system is easy to use and pairs quickly with most phones, and a rear backup camera is standard across all models.
• Fuel efficiency: With the CVT, the Impreza returns 27/36/31 mpg city/highway/combined. The 5-speed manual lowers those figures slightly.

Which 2015 Subaru Impreza trim should I buy?

The 2015 Subaru Impreza is offered in 6 trim levels: 2.0i, 2.0i Premium, 2.0i Limited, Sport Premium, Sport Limited, and Sport hatchback.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0i: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost way into Subaru’s all-wheel-drive compact commuter formula. It gives you the core Impreza experience, but you should expect the fewest comfort and tech extras.
• 2.0i Premium: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of equipment and value. It adds the EyeSight safety suite, making it the standout choice for shoppers who want more advanced driver assistance without moving all the way up the range.
• 2.0i Limited: Choose this if you want the more polished cabin experience, including the larger 7-inch touchscreen. It suits you if interior tech matters more than keeping the price as low as possible.
• Sport Premium: This trim is the better pick if you want the hatchback body style with a manual transmission option. It adds a bit more visual and functional appeal while keeping the Impreza’s practical character.
• Sport Limited: Go here if you want the most upscale hatchback version described in the data, with the larger touchscreen and the most complete feature set mentioned for the Sport side of the lineup.
• Sport hatchback: If you want the most utility-focused body style, this is the version to consider for cargo flexibility and everyday versatility.

The safety-package trim note is simple: EyeSight is standard on the 2.0i Premium trim, while the rest of the lineup relies on the standard braking and stability hardware.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru Impreza?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you have room to shop, but the best listings still deserve quick attention.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 709 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,803, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $10,161 sits slightly below last year's $10,256.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to resell later. A steady price pattern usually means you’re less likely to see a sharp drop in value over a short ownership period.

Because the model also has strong value-for-money appeal and a loyal following, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. Clean condition and documented maintenance will matter most if you want to protect your exit price.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Subaru Impreza safe?

The 2015 Subaru Impreza earns a Good rating from the IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Subaru’s EyeSight system is standard on the 2.0i Premium trim and includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and pre-collision braking. The rest of the lineup gets 4-wheel antilock disc brakes plus stability and traction control, so you should confirm whether the trim you’re considering includes the full driver-assistance package.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a much-needed front facelift and better technology inside.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $9,312, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $10,161 average.
• It pairs affordability, versatility, efficiency, and all-wheel drive.

The 2015 is the better pick if you want the more polished cabin, improved tech, and updated styling. If your priority is simply getting the lowest entry price, the 2014 can make sense, but you give up some of the refinement and equipment improvements that make the 2015 easier to live with.
