2002 Aztec all wheel drive. Shudders instead accelerates, does not like to climb hills and the passing gear never engauges, any ideas?

It gets worse after the car warms up and is useing a lot of fuel.

Is you check engine light on? Maybe you have some misfires and or leaky fuel injector dumping fuel into your catalytic convertors. Have it checked out ASAP.
