Regarding the Mazda tribute, 6 cyl, auto,with OD. I also have a shutter during downshift while on a slight grade. Happens at 42 mph to 48 mph.

Had the entire trans. rebuilt, and the engine gone through searching for the problem by a
reputable technician. After four weeks, no luck.  
After 11 months I am taking it back before warranty runs out.

Shutter at that speed makes me think it's the O/D band or the torque convertor that is faulty. How is the fluid level? Yes, definitely take it back to the rebuilder and demand it is fixed properly before the warranty runs out.
