Mazda rx8 2010 catalytic converter heat shield replacement

Asked by Aug 20, 2016 at 10:25 PM about the 2010 Mazda RX-8 GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi. Anyone have an idea how to replace
the catalytic converter heat shield that
comes attached to the body of the car? I
looked underneath it yesterday and I saw it
goes around the transmission. Do I have to
take down the transmission to replace the
shield? Thank a lot
