Putting a 4 by transfer case behind a 99 dodge Dakota 2 wd. Automatic 3.9 v6 I want a neutral and low range only ie. Is it possible without cutting everything up just trying to save $

It's a litterally total rebuilt Dakota slt and its fits my old bod , but I want to tow behind my
home a class c 1990 ford chassis motorhome any help here would be really great. This is

Transmissions are totally different from a 2WD to a 4WD. Check with your local R/V supply store they should be able to get you a driveline disconnect unit that is either cable or servo motor controlled. They will save from having to slide underneath it and do it manually.

Then as far as a crawler gear, gear vender might make an under drive unit for your rig but it won't be cheap.
