How to replace a left turn signal switch in a Cadillac esclade

Asked by Jan 26, 2014 at 08:22 AM about the 2005 Cadillac Escalade 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Left turn signal does not work. When I use it, it may "blink" for a few seconds then stops.
On rare occasion it works. Advance auto said the hazard switch/ part s14344 needed
replaced. Can someone "walk" me thru this.

The combination switch contains the hazards, turn signals, wipers, and cruise control if equipped. It's a fairly complicated procedure in that the airbags must be disabled and the steering wheel removed. I'd suggest having it replaced at a repair facility. If the airbags deploy accidentally you can be seriously injured. HTH. -Jim
