Brakes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My brakes have been bad a while now and haven't been
able to fix so I don't really drive it, however tonight I had to
run to work and as I was leaving the driveway I heard a
clunk on the ground and couldn't stop at first. When I did
stop I parked and got out and found what was left of my
brake pad. I am replacing the pad and rotor tomorrow, can I
still do that?

You may have also damaged the brake caliper, so check it over when you get it tore down, for sure you are going to need at least one rotor, better check the rears too.
