GM part turn-around time
My 2008 Saturn Vue has been in the shop since 5/12. Something within the transmission exploded. Replacing my transmission was finally reviewed and accepted by my extended warranty by 5/17, yet no one can give me a straight answer as to when it will be delivered to the dealer and replaced. It's going on 3 weeks. As you can imagine I'm getting quite frustrated.
Everything I've read and researched states this fix should have only taken a week, even if a part needed to be ordered and delivered. I at least deserve a real answer on how long it will be.
Has anyone else had this problem with late model Vues? I read a bunch of things regarding the wave plate in transmissions up until the 2005 models, but mine's a 2008. Others claim that all parts must be available from manufacturers (GM) for at least 10 years, yet even GM seems not to have one. How much longer must I wait? Then what? Legal action :-/ Let me know your thoughts....
I would contact GM Customer Service immediately and find out what the issue is for your Saturn....1-800-553-6000
