When I turn off my 2007 Saab 97x the battery indicator light comes on the engine is shut down?

The battery indicator light only comes on after the engine is shut off. It is very hard to get
the key out. The light remains on after the key is out. If I leave the key in and drive forward
or reverse and shut off the engine it doesn't happen. It may take once or a few times of
doing this to get it to shut down normally. I'm scared to leave the key in with the indicator
light on that it will drain the battery and worse some one will steal it. Any ideas?

I recently had the bulb in the brake light replaced, could that have caused this?

Also, forgot to mention this doesn't happen every time I turn the car off. In fact, it hasn't happened in the last 5 to 6 times...
