Saab 9-3 Brakes slipped,

Question type: General

Hi,

My 2006 Saab 9-3 brakes slipped as I applied the brakes at a traffic light. Instead of the
car stopping completely it moved forward and hit the bumper of car in front of me.

It never behaved like this before and I know that there is something wrong. I am now still
driving the car but maintaining a distance to other cars.

What could the cause possibly be? Could there be some kind of leak in the fluid or air.

Please advise. Thanks.

Gordon

Thank you for the advice. Could it also be a leak from the air as I believe the brakes also work on vacuum air? Best Regards.
