GM OBD1 has a spout connector that needs to be disconnected before you set the base timing, so after you have replaced the ignition module and pickup and the base is set turn off the engine reconnect the spout connector, and disconnect a battery cable and step on the brake pedal for at least 1 minute, then reconnect the cable and set the park brake, step on the foot brake and start the engine put it in gear and turn on all electrical, headlights, fan etc. let the idle stabilize, usually about a minute will work, then shut it all down. There will still be drive protocols but at least the base setting should be accurate if the ECM and Prom are good. With the repairs to the fuel system, just how much of it have you replaced?
