Cuts off while idling, starts back up only with foot on accelerator
Don't wanna get ripped off at the shop. Can you please tell me what you think is
wrong?

Sounds like the throttle body, including the IAC (Idle Air Control) valve needs a good cleaning. Also, if you have over 100,000 miles on your Saturn, you're due for a tune up. HTH. -Jim
