Saturn SL2 1999 wont start!!!
My 1999 Saturn SL2 died while driving it. Tryied
repeatedly to start it and nothing. Saw the starter
smoking so I replaced the starter, still no start.
Battery is charged and holds a charge, fuses are
good. Before I put the new starter on and tried to
start it all the dash lights came on full strength but
when I turned the key to the start position they
would dim, but after putting on the new starter the
dash light are not dimming with the key in the start
position. I have checked all the fuses and battery
cables all of them are fine. If I hold the key in the
start position and move the shifter back and forth
from park to neutral I get a clicking noise and the
dash light flicker in sync with the clicking. So I was
thinking it was the Neutral Safety Switch but Im not
sure. I assumed it was the Neutral safety switch
after reading some other forums on it. Help please!
I need this car running so I can get to work.
Make sure you're getting fuel delivery check your injector fuel rail to see if your getting any pressure on it and make sure you don't have a clogged fuel filter?
