Question type: Maintenance & Repair

95 chevy lumina:  used,, the trottle and brake pedals become hard to push,  like they lock or freeze, and I have to push real hard to release them.  My co- worker ironically has the same car and the same problem with her brake pedal.....

You have 2 seperate issues going on. The throttle might be the throttle linkage, or the throttle body itself. maybe even the Throttle position sensor. Have it looked at it determine what the issue is. The brake pedal being hard can be more than one issue as well....http://www.diybuildingandrepairs.com/auto-repairs/hard-brake-pedal.html.....I suggest you take your car into a local mechanic ASAP to get these problems sorted out, it is very unsafe to drive at the moment, for you and other drivers.
