Idle air control valve
I have a 2006 GMC DIERRA 2500HD SLE 6.0L. Ifle
is very low, with a lobe, or miss. Foes this thing
have an idle air control valve? Does anyone have
experience with this?
Don't have an answer cause I'm trying to find out the same thing for a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0. Where is the IAC?
If it has a throttle cable (drive by cable), yes it has an idle air control valve. If there is a cable on the passenger side of the throttle body, the top connector on the driver side goes to the idle air control. If it doesn't have a cable (drive by wire) the throttle blade is actuated by an electric motor controlled be the computer and no external idle air control is needed.
