I have a 2002 Jaguar S-type. What does the warning "boot open" mean?

My car is giving me a warning that the "Boot" is open. I have no idea what that means.

And don't forget to check your petrol gauge... (Fuel) and your tyre pressure is important to get long life out of your tires.
