Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 Volkswagen Beetle, 2.0
automatic. I've had it for 4 months and I
bought it knowing I took needed a 02
sensor, it's gotten worse of course but one
concern is that about two months ago I
noticed it lagging in going into drive, and it
runs really crappy like, it likes to stall also
but once I get I think going for awhile it
begins to stop. Could this be the 02 sensor
or also something else? Please help!!

if you know the sensor needs replacing then you should replace it. then start trouble shooting after that. o2 sensors can cause alot of issues and the longer you wait to replace it the more damage you risk to your engine. an o2 sensor is any where from 50-150 $ depending on where you go. scan the car after replacing it and see what pops up
