Squeal from rear end
2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7l v8 2wd.
I just had the rear bearing changed yesterday and noticed
my driver side axle seems to be causing a wobble. After the
bearing change the wobble is slightly better but still there.
While driving on the freeway I accelerated to pass a car and
had a very loud high pitched squeal/screetch come from
the rear. I let off the gas and it went away. When I
accelerate slowly there's no noise. But as soon as I quickly
accelerate the noise comes back until I let off the gas.
Could this be caused by a mistake putting the new bearing
in or the wobble from the axle? Or is this an issue with the
spider gears in the differential?
