97 CRV poor mileage after distributor replaced

Asked by Aug 14, 2013 at 02:16 PM about the 1997 Honda CR-V LX AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We just had the distributor replaced in our 97 CRV and the engine is running quite nicely.
However, we can almost see the gas gauge dropping now as we drive. Can this be a
timing issue?
Thanks, Pat

Yes, double check the ignition timing. If it's spot on and still no improvement exchange it for another one. You may have got a defect. HTH. -Jim
