2006 GP 3.8L 156k miles. Car was dropping cylinders. I tested coils and found a bad one. Replaced coil and problem still happened. Tried to drive it home and the check engine light started flashing.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Should I swap the ICM? Or something else?
Can't find much online except for saying it is
a bad coil...

When I find 1 bad coil pack, I always replace all 3. If one is bad, the others are soon to follow. Double check that the plug wires are hooked up to the correct coil pack towers. Has the car ever been turned up? With recommended tune ups every 100,000 miles it's not unheard of for the car to never have been tuned up at 156,000 miles. A flashing check engine light is warning you that the engine is misfiring and damaging the catalytic converter. HTH. -Jim
