I HAVE MONTE CARLO SS, MY VIN # HAS "1WX15K" IN IT I HAVE BEEN ASKED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS IF MY VIN HAD "1WX27K" I HAVE ALWAYS I HAVE THE HOTTES VERSION OF THIS MODEL (?). I NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE "1WK15" AND THE "1WX27" VIN?

The deleted post was 4th Gen wasn't sure if it pertained to the 6th gen, so I found another link.

Write out you VIN if you want help. There are no secrets in it..it's not like a social security number..it's public anyway

I have a 2000 monte carlo lsthe reverse works good the drive works good it shifts thru first and second gear smoothly when it goes to shift in third the transmission disengages then i have to stop and put it in park turn off the car and wait 2 min then i can start thecar put it in drive and it does the same thing
