I have a 92 ford f150 XLT 4x4 WITH the 5.0L (vin. N) computer shows code 542 says loss of ground to fuel pump from the EEC ?

I used a jumper wire from ground to
fuel pump relay on my 85 ford f150
XLT 4x4 5.0L (vin. N) but don't know
where to start on the 92. Was running
good then shut off and now cranks
but know fire any help would be

most common is the ignition module then the distributor pickup coil. see pic
