I have a 95 Ford F-150 truck the overdrive broke off the shifting arm could that cause any issues with it driving

It won't be a problem as long as you don't haul anything more than the weight of 2 more people. Aftermarket makes this shift lever now and you should be able to get it overnight if not in stock at your local parts store. In then meantime you can use gorilla tape to hold the knob in place while your waiting on the part.
