I have a 2000 firebird i put freon in it but the ac is blowing hot air. How can i chexk to see if it's the compressor?

Sounds like you have a leak in the refrigeration system. Best thing to do is have it diagnosed by a pro. They'll pull down the system into a vacuum to check for leaks. If there's air in the system this will solve that problem as well. You could also have a saturated accumulator, or blocked orifice tube. The diagnosis of a pro will be cheaper in the long run. -HTH. -Jim
