Just replaced the transmission on my 2001 Dodge Ram with a used transmission, went 10 miles fine then seized up

Asked by Jun 28, 2015 at 07:04 AM about the Dodge Ram 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

For the 10 miles it shifted perfectly and drove fine, then it just seized and now won't move. There were no problems with the replacement transmission.  It is a 4 wheel drive.

Without seeing the vehicle, it will be hard to know what you all did and what the issue is. Check your driveline first. Why did you replace the trans in the first place? Used trans are a crap shoot as well.
