Trying to start my truck

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought and replaced coilso module and has a new fuel pump, also new spark
plugs, wires and new battery. When I craneed the engine it almost starts then
dies down. I'm getting frustrated. No help please

If you have spark and fuel, do a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero the timing chain has jumped. Try spraying some starting fluid down the throttle body. If it'll run a few seconds on that it's a fuel problem. If not, check for spark. If you have spark do the compression test. HTH. -Jim
