i changed from points system car wants to stall when i punch gas

thxs i will try that in about a hour. i changed my points over. using a pertronix1181 the car 1974 olds 98 with a 1973 olds 455 7.5l.. i did that 3 days ago yesterday it started to hesitate when i punch down on gas new coil plugs wires and new distributor i had put in about 5 months ago the mechanic said he set the timing at 14 the specs say 10 so i will try that. if not i'll just shot it and feel better.. lol thxs will keep you up dated. steve
