why does my truck turn off when i turn on ac
Check the a/C compressor, it maybe froze, usually it make site belt really squeal but some of the lower torque rigs I have seen it just kil the engine at idle.
When you switch on the A/C an A/C request signal is sent to the computer. The computer then speeds up the idle about 50 RPMs to compensate for the added load of the A/C compressor. Sounds like the speed up device isn't working. HTH. -Jim
