Sounds like you have TOO MUCH oil in the crankcase. This will cause the oil to foam. When the oil foams the oil pump is actually sucking air so the oil pressure drops and the light comes on. Change the oil and filter. Then add the correct amount of oil and see what happens. Inspect the old oil once you've drained it. Does it have a strong gasoline smell? If so, replace the fuel pump. There's a rubber diaphragm in the fuel pump that can leak. When this happens gasoline leaks into the crankcase, thins out the oil, and will also cause the type of oil pressure problem that you're experiencing. Your fuel pump is mechanical and bolts to the side of the engine block. It is not in the gas tank or electrical! HTH. -Jim
