What parts need to be replaced when you change the timing belt on a 2006 Sequioa Limited?
The crankshaft sensor has gone out.the wire was cut from the timing belt
due to mechanic not putting the wire in a safe placement.I have 45,000 miles
or more on the belt so decided to chane timing belt since going to keep car
for at least another100,000 miles.Do any other parts need to be replaced
while the service is being done?
No answer just more info.Sequoia has 138,000 miles,2n. belt was put on a little over 90,000 miles along with the water pump being replaced.
In a 2006 Toyota Sequoia, I would replace tensioner, all idlers, and front seals as well.
If you're on a budget, bare minimum is a tensioner, I won't install a timing belt without it.
might as well change the water pump while you're in there-
