driver door poer window motor.

Asked by Jun 02, 2015 at 02:24 PM about the 1965 Ford Thunderbird

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I cannot remove the motor because the window is in the UP position due to a 12volt
problem at the console switchs. Th driver switch works but not for driver side and 12 volts
direct to door motor results in sparks only. I am apprehensive about removing the
regulator bolts for fear it will fall and jam. etc.  Any suggestions? Thanks for considering
question, don

Drill holes in inner door to get to bolts holding motor to regulator, then remove motor.

Thanks for the info, I will try this, holes idea.. I was thinking about cutting a square patch but inner door is not flat. Your Idea sound better.
