1989 ford bronco 2 in the morning (after sitting for awhile) the automatic transmission slip first time every morning  when you try to go.  Once it catches it works ok the rest of the day until you shut it off and it sits for awhile again, why?

Mine was varnish in the valve body, I serviced the tranny and added a can of TransX, within a day the problem was gone and my shift points improved.
