does anyone have a picture of a 1970 Heavy Chevy with the black strips down the sides of the car?
My husband had a Heavy Chevy when we met and he has died. That is the only car that he owned that I don't have a picture of. His car was blue with the black strips down the sides 2 door. I hope someone has one. My brother told me that it was a 1971 but I remeber my husband told me that it ws a 1970. I would love to show my kids his favorite car.

I searched around for a while and couldn't find a picture of exactly what you are looking for. I do know that there are many books out there that are dedicated to Chevelles (as well as others.) I would say go to the library or book store and look in the automotive section. They will have many books with pictures. Yes - I had a gold 1970 Heavy Chevy and have pics. It has black stripes down the side. I bought it new in 1970 for $3900. It had a 350 w/ automatic transmission from the factory.
I'd like to set the record. I'am 63, the heavy chevy was only 1971 and 1972, no other chevelle wore that badge (Decale). I got mind in 1972 while I was stationed at McCoy AFB in FL.
The Heavy Chevy was only produced in 1971 and 1972 it was not a muscle car. If your husband a 1970 chevelle it was just a chevelle or an SS. I owned a hevey chevy. Got the car in 72 and had thru 77. I have pics.
