driver seat

Asked by Ellen Aug 22, 2018 at 03:06 PM about the 2017 Hyundai Tucson

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driver's seat shifts slightly horizontally whenever going around a corner.  It
makes a small "click" sound and feels like it shifts about 1" or so.  This
happens on any seat setting.

Have you had anyone check to make sure all of the bolts holding the seat in its tracks are there? Could be a missing bolt. Or not. :)

I’m sitting in the Hyundai dealer here in Cincinnati and I have the same problem. But the dealer acts surprised when I brought it up. Our old Hyundai had an issue and they acted so surprised. When I talked to the mechanic he said that the door lock was a issues on several Tucson’s. So with the seat problem I’m not believing them when they say they never heard of it. I’ll let you know what they say.

If you look under your seat (facing forward looking behind) on the left side is a rod with a bolt with a star shaped head. That is what was loose in my car and I tightened it down and my seat didnt shake anymore

Cannot find the bolt in my 2019 Tucson. It has the same problem. Should I look forward from behind the seat or look behind from front of seat ?

Did you ever find a solution? My 2020 Tucson does this.
