My car runs good but my check engine light is on what should I do & what could it be?

Drive over to your local auto parts store and ask them to scan the car for you. They will read a 4 digit code or codes. ex. P0300. Post them back here and we'll try to help further.

Even though OBDII was not mandatory until 1996 when most cars first had it, Lexus was a step-ahead and 1995 is fully OBDII compliant...except for Calif and CARB (Calif Air Resources Board) requirements

My guess is a Coolant Temp Sensor.
